Bio: Prof.
Xin-Rong Zhang is a professor and doctoral supervisor at College of
Engineering, Peking University, director of Beijing Engineering Research
Center, president of Beijing Society of Energy, and also an Adjunct Professor
at Peking University Energy Research Institute. His main research directions
include fluid dynamics and heat transfer of supercritical/near-critical carbon
dioxide, transcritical heating and cooling cycle conversion and utilization of
natural working fluid carbon dioxide, and cooling quality control of fruits and
vegetables. He has been selected as one of the top 2% of global scientists
in terms of career influence and annual influence, and has been a highly cited
Chinese scholar in the Elsevier energy field for 10 consecutive years from 2014
to 2023. He has served as the project leader of over 30 scientific
research projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation and the
National Key Research and Development Program of China. He published over
180 international journals and applied for over 100 patents.

Guihua Tang is currently Director of Key Laboratory of Thermo-Fluid Science and
Engineering, Ministry of Education in China, Xi’an Jiaotong University. He
obtained a PhD in Power Engineering and Engineering Thermophysics in 2004, and
BEng in 1996 from Xi’an Jiaotong University. He worked as a Higher Scientific
Officer in the UK STFC Daresbury Laboratory from 2007 to 2009. He has extensive
research experiences in microscale and nanoscale fluid flow and heat transfer
and the applications in solar energy, thermoelectric materials, super
insulating materials, engine thermal management, phase-change heat transfer,
and energy storage. His research earned him National Research Awards and
National Research Talents honors, etc

Bio: Prof.
Shigenao Maruyama is currently Professor Emeritus of Tohoku University and a
specially appointed Visiting Professor (Coordinator of Social Cooperation and
International Collaboration) of Tohoku University. He is affiliated member of
the Science Council of Japan. He graduated from the Faculty of Engineering at
Tohoku University in March 1977 and completed his doctoral study in the
Graduate School of Engineering at the same university in March 1983, with his
Ph.D degree. Following his PhD, he became an Assistant Professor at the
Institute of Fluid Science at Tohoku University in October 1983, was promoted
to Associate Professor in May 1989, and was appointed Professor at Tohoku
University in June 1997. In August 2008, he was appointed as a Distinguished
Professor. Additionally, he served as a member of the Tohoku University
Education and Research Council, as well as holding key administrative positions
such as Special Assistant to the President and university Vice Director,
contributing to the operation and development of Tohoku University.
At the Institute of Fluid Science, Prof. Maruyama
specialized in heat transfer control research and dedicated many years to the
education and research in thermal engineering. He contributed to the
advancement of academia by serving as chair of international conferences and as
an editor for international academic journals. He published more than 250
journal papers, 18 books, 53 patents. He was the vice president of Heat
Transfer Society of Japan. He was the founding chair of many international
conferences/symposiums. He was presented the Purple Ribbon Medal of Japan in
April 2012, which honors highest national contribution.

Bofeng Bai is presently professor and vice director of State Key Laboratory of
Multiphase Flow in Power Engineering, Xi’an Jiaotong University. His
primary research interests focus on multiphase flow fundamentals and
applications in energy engineering, power engineering, thermal engineering and
petroleum engineering. He has authored and co-authored more than 270 papers
published in international journals and delivered 30 keynote speeches. His
research results have won 1 second-class prize of national technological
invention awards and 4 first-class prizes of provincial and ministerial science
and technology awards.

Bio:Dr. Yifan Zhang is the technical leader of the Clean Low-carbon
Supercritical CO2 Advanced Power System Innovation Team of
Xi'an Thermal Engineering Research Institute Co., LTD., the chief scientist of
the National Key Research and Development Program of China, and the Excellent
Scientific and Technological Worker of Huaneng Group (2023), presiding over 3
national science and technology projects and 3 provincial science and
technology projects. He creatively proposed operational control methods such as
total working fluid cooperative control, which considerably improved the
flexible adjustment capability and dynamic stability of the unit and was
successfully applied to the first 5MWe supercritical CO2 test
unit. He won the first prize in the 2023 Power Science and Technology Award and
the first prize in the 2022 Huaneng Group Science and Technology Progress
Award. He has published 42 representative papers in this field, including 1 ESI
highly cited paper (cited 143 times), 33 SCI indexed papers, 1 English
monograph co-published, and 61 authorized invention patents.

Bio: Prof.
Sun Shaozeng is a full professor in School of Energy Science and
Engineering, Harbin Institute of Technology. He is the director of Research
Institute of Energy Technology for Carbon Neutrality, HIT, and the funding
director of National Engineering Laboratory for Reducing Emissions from Coal
Combustion of China.
His research has been focused on coal
combustion, gasification and control of pollutants from coal combustion,
biomass into energy, and carbon sequestration by advanced power generation
system of near zero emissions.
He was awarded National Technical Invention
Prize of China in 2001, Scientific and Technological Prize of Heilongjiang
Province in 2000, 2009, 2014 and 2017 respectively. He has published around 300
papers and patented over 60 inventions.

Cheng Xu born in April 1987, currently serving as a professor and assistant
dean at the School of Energy, Power and Mechanical Engineering, North China
Electric Power University, a mentor at Wu Zhonghua College (the first class
teacher of Wu Zhonghua College), and a researcher at the Advanced Energy
Research Institute (led by Professor Yang Yongping's team). Hosted one National
Natural Science Foundation project, one sub project of the National Key
Research and Development Program, and two basic research projects of the
Ministry of Education for central universities; As a participant, participated
in 2 team projects such as "Science and Technology Beijing * *
Training" and "Innovative Research Group" funded by the National
Natural Science Foundation of China, as well as 1 project funded by the
National Natural Science Foundation of China; The total budget for the project
is over 1.5 million yuan. I have published 57 academic papers (48 in journals
and 9 in international conferences), including 33 SCI indexed papers (24 as
first author/corresponding author), including 20 Q1 SCI indexed papers; The
paper has been cited 795 times (Scopus database) and has applied for more than
20 national invention patents (7 have been authorized). The research results
related to "Energy saving Theory of Advanced Power Generation
Systems" have been included in the International Energy Agency's (IEA)
report on double reheat coal fired power units (ISBN 978-92-9029-577-8). He has
successively won the honorary titles of "Outstanding Young Engineer of the
American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)", "Wu Zhonghua
Excellent Graduate Award" of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, etc; I have
